Child Survives 6-floor Fall

An 18-month-old girl survived completely unscathed after falling from a sixth floor apartment in Paris.

French media are describing it as a "miracle" after the little girl bounced off a cafe awning and was safely caught by a passer-by.

The girl somehow fell from a window then she bounced off the awning of a cafe below, then had a further stroke of luck when a passing doctor saw her fall and caught her before she hit the ground.

A man living in a building opposite from the apartment said he saw the girl playing by the window with another girl a few years older.

They were coming and going from the window, he said, and he had a feeling something bad might happen.

The doctor who caught the girl was walking by with his wife and son when the boy spotted the girl falling.

  • talk about a miracle
  • Talk about being at the right place at the right time! I'm happy to see she didn't die or get severly injured.
  • that is unbelievable and kinda hard to beleive
  • Ok well lucky for her the doctor was there or the person would have been the same after she fell.
  • wow thats crazy that he was able to catch her. what are the chances that he would be looking up for falling babies and still have enough time to react to it?
  • oh goodness...thats crazy!! shes so lucky
  • Is the guy who caught the girl alright I wonder.
  • whoa! that is amazing! that little girl is so lucky! i bet she gets lucky the rest of her life.
  • That's amazing. And extremely lucky that someone saw her falling.. and that the awning was directly below her. She could've died if the awning wasn't there. Where's the parental supervision?
  • AHHHHH!! ahhaha that is soooooooo crazy..molly thinks that the girl had a stroke rather than a stroke of luck.
