We all have to do education for a good chunk of our lives, so what are our options? With the changing of technology, online schooling has become an alternative to in-person education. So is online schooling more beneficial than in-person education?

One of the advantages of online schooling is the flexibility. Students can access their learning materials anywhere, whether they be on vacation or at home. This allows students to create their learning schedule that fits in their daily schedule. Unlike in-person education, online schooling lets kids decide their own schedule when they do schoolwork, ensuring that students can balance their schooling with work, family, and chores.

Online schooling gives students an opportunity for learning experiences they want. Allowing students to learn at their own pace, letting them find subjects that interest them the most. Also, online platforms usually offer interactive sites, resources, and lots of learning tools, which make the learning experience more interesting and not boring. In-person learning usually teachers have to go by what the standard curriculum that the states provide.

Online schooling allows for kids all over to get education. From kids living in the middle of nowhere to kids with disabilities, online education eliminates that drive to school. Also, Online schooling provides opportunities for individuals who may have money issues or have limited access to good schooling in their local area. This accessibility gives kids more opportunities to get a good education and go far in life..

Studies show the impact that online schooling does for students. Research shows that online learners often achieve equal or better results compared to their in-person counterparts. A study conducted by the U.S. Department of Education in 2010 found that students who engaged in online learning performed better, on average, than those receiving face-to-face instruction. The study results increased student engagement, individualized attention, and the ability to revisit the classwork again.

Online schooling offers lots of benefits that make it a close alternative to in-person education. Its flexibility allows students to balance their school work with all other responsibilities, while personalized learning ensures a personalized educational experience. Online education's accessibility takes away the struggles and provides opportunities for individuals who don’t like near a school or can’t afford it. Even though more research is needed to completely understand all of  the long-term impact of online schooling, evidence suggests that it can slow comparable or improved student outcomes. As technology continues to advance and grow, it's likely that online schooling will play a huge role in determining the future of education.

  • Excellent job overall Tobina!! I would like to see the advantages of in person school as well more of your opinion on the issue as well. Also be sure to spread your comments a bit better over three different days.

  • I would rather learn in person because if I did online we would most likely only do notes and worksheets. However, in-person schooling you have your peers that can help you out if its aloud. I think it's just easier because you can pay attention in class without any distractions. I like in-person schooling so I can talk to my friends and enjoy interacting with everyone.

  • I would prefer in person learning because I feel like people would learn better in a in person enviroment. I don't think online is more affective because being on a computer can cause distractions and people tend not to pay attention when there are distraction around them.

    • I agree, However getting to make your own schedule and doing things that intrest you will make you more focused

  • I prefer in-school learning because you get to interact and see people in real life, and also some people might not be able to afford a computer to do online schooling on. Online school wouldn't be more afffective because if they don't meet know people during school, then kids might have trouble meeting new people when they graduate and are out on their own.

    • However it is more affective in other aspects then just "socalizing" we go to school to learn and socializing is just one of the perks of being at school.

  • I prefer in-person schooling because it is easier for me to learn while doing in-person projects, labs, and activities. If we only did notes and worksheets online, then I don't think everyone would get the best education possible. Learning requires different methods for different people, and I don't think online learning provides that.

    • I agree and disagree with you, in person is definently a little better but with online its definetly a challenge but if you make your schedule and the classes you take online to fit what you want to do it definetly can be better.

  • I feel like online learning is definitly good for  people that know their learning style and are disciplined enough to get assignments done on time. As an avid procrastinator, I prefer in-person schooling because getting face-to-face reminders and pressure helps me get everything done on time.

    • I agree, online is definetly a more disciplined type of learning.
