Amazingly, a teacher has found a way to create a personal connection with each and every one of his students. He has made a way to catch the student’s attention and possibly made a way to help them learn better. Barry White has made up a hand shake with each student in all three of his classes. Every class with approximately 15 students. Each handshake unique in its own way, made up to match the personality of the student. Everyday before the beginning of class all the students line up and practice their “personal” handshake with their teacher.
How do you think the teacher is able to memorize over 40 handshakes?
In what way do you feel this could be helping students better connect with him?

I think this is a very cool story! I believe that the teacher is able to memorize over 40 handshakes because he truly loves and cares about his job. It's really awesome that he is this passionate about his job! I think that this is helping students to have a better attitude towards their teacher. This, in turn, could improve their mood in the classroom and in school, their attentiveness in class, and even their grades. We definitely need more positive people like this in the world!
Because of his passion for his job and love for the students, I believe that’s how he was able memorize every handshake. What I find even more astonishing, is the fact that each handshake is designed to pertain to the student’s personality. By doing this, he’s able to build a strong bond, allowing the students to learn even further in a comfortable environment. It could potentially let students look forward to come to class.
I strongly agree. I think by the handshake he's creating shows the students that he cares enough about each of them as an individual to get to know them better.
I think they connect with him better and feel able to ask him things and talk to him. He may have a photographic memory, which could be how he memorized them all.
Possibly, but the story/video didn't have any mention of a photographic memory. Though, that would be a big help for progressing his class.
It would take a lot of practicing to remember all 40 handshakes, which is dedication. By building a connection with the students, the teacher can feel more confident in providing the kids with what they need to be successful. The kids are more comfortable with telling the teacher anything, which is an ideal classroom situation.
I've seen this video and I find this amazing. We need more teachers like this. I think it is crazy how he can memorize 40 handshakes. I can barely memorize one lol. I think that if they enter the classroom like this it will effect their learning a ton because they will be excited.
I think that this teacher is amazing at what he does. Not only is he bonding with students, but he's also letting them know that they are all equally important in the classroom. He probably spent a lot of time memorizing these handshakes, which shows his passion for his job. The teacher is involved with the students in a personal way when he does these handshakes, rather than just teaching them academic subjects.
I think it would be so hard to memorized 40 completely different handshakes, let only for each individual person! It is understandable that this would create a better bond between the students and the teacher, but I really don't see how it could help them learn. In my opinion, it could eventually be taking time away from their learning.
