A Hovering Skyscraper?

Clouds Architecture Office has unveiled plans for a futuristic skyscraper called the Analemma Tower. The building would hover above the ground because it would be attached to an actual asteroid, in space, that is forcibly put into orbit around the Earth. Therefore your exact address when you are in this skyscraper could be anywhere on Earth. The tower will be suspended by high strength cabling from an asteroid. So it will always be moving and residents and visitors would take a daily trip between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres with a longer stay over cities like New York City or Dubai. The tower would be made out of durable light-weight materials such as carbon fiber and aluminum. To get power it would come from solar panels that have a constant exposure to sunlight. The water will come from clouds and rainwater and will be kept in a loop system.
Questions:
1. Would you want to live in this tower if you had the chance? Why or why not?
2. Do you think building these is a good or bad idea? Why?
My opinion
I would pry not want to live in this tower just because you wouldn't be able to be with your friends if they aren't there with you, and it just wouldn't the same kind of life. I think they are a good idea because it would protect people from tsunamis, floods and other storms that could damage your property.

  • Well done Braden!

  • I wouldn't like to live in the tower because it would get boring to me and without anyone i would know be a little uncomfortable plus how what all would you really be able to do in the tower. I think it would be a huge negative change to the life i already live.

  • I pry wouldn't live in this because this would be really scary just because i wouldnt be on the ground and it could be unstable. It could be good to save room for building more stuff.

  • I dont see this on a smart choice. many things could go wrong and up just killing or just a waist. so i see it as a bad idea.

  • No, because the asteroid could go off course and crash and stuff. I think this is just a waste of money.

  • I would live there because it would be fun and it wouldn't be very crowded. I think they would be nice because you would be safer than on land.

  • I think it would be cool to live in the tower for a little bit but definitely not for a long time. I think it is a really cool idea to protect people from all the natural disasters and would be really safe.

  • No I would not, because there would be to much of a risk of getting killed due to a malfunction. I think that the idea has some potential, but I think that we're just not technologically advanced enough to be able to make it work without major difficulties.

  • 1. I don't think I would  because I wouldn't trust that everything would be safe. I would make sure that the building was sturdy enough.

    2. I think it could be good in a way for futuristic architecture and to help against nature.

  • I would not live in it because it doesn't seem very safe. I don't think this is a good idea because I don't think that it is worth it.
