In southern england there were blizzard conditions, car stuck on highways, icy sidewalks, the whole deal. One woman called into 999 (911) to report that her snowman had been stolen. She said that she figured that with the roads as bad as they were it would be safe, but when she went outside for a cigarett she found it missing. She called the police to report it stolen. Police were astonished at the irresponsibility of the woman. One police man said " It was a gross missuse of emergency number that could have cost lives if there had been a real emergency and they couldn't get through." Needless to say the woman did not get her snowman back. Link

that is definitely not an emergency. it is ridiculous that someone would even consider calling the police when something as unimportant as this happens. But stealing a snowman is still rude.
