6 People Found Alive in Buried Hotel

Many people were staying at a hotel in Italy when an avalanche hit. There were six survivors that had been found. Authorities believe there are still about twenty other people that could be trapped in the hotel. Among the six survivors two have been rescued. The other four are still trapped but are safe enough that they can last in the hotel until they can be rescued. All four of the survivors are bound to have hypothermia but nothing to critical. Two of the six that have been found were children. The rescuers think that among all six three were to be children. One of the people rescued was Giampiero Parete with his wife and two kids, six and eight years old. The family went to Italy for a vacation. Giampiero missed the avalanche only because he had left the hotel to go out to his car to get medicine for his wife. Rescuers are not sure if his wife and children are among the six that were found. The Hotel they were staying at was a four star. The hotel got buried by snow because a earthquake triggered a avalanche. Usually when there is bad weather like snow you would stay inside but with earthquakes your supposed to evacuate outdoors. When you put these two things together it gets complicated. Rescuers are still looking in hopes to find others.

Question - If you were one of the survivors how would you feel?

Answer - If I was a survivor of this fallen hotel I would be very grateful that i was still alive. I would be very scared because well your trapped in a hotel with no food, no exits, and very little air ways. I would be hoping that someone is coming to help everyone.

Question - If you were a rescuer how would you react to this incident?

Answer -  If I was one of the rescuers i would be shocked for sure. I would be nervous as well because I would want to make sure I got everyone out of this mess. I would be scrambling to find people who are still alive so no one dies. I would also be happy that there were at least six survivors.

  • Good overall. Be sure to comment a bit more and your first question is limited with what people can say. Of course they are going to be happy or relieved.

  • I would be thankful that I lived through the disasters but I would be afraid of being trapped in the hotel. If I was a rescuer I would be glad to hear their are survivors and want to rescue them.

  • If I was a survivor I would be very thankful that I'm alive. I also would be scared at the same time because of all the other people that could be trapped in there. If I was a rescuer I wouldn't know what to think because of all the wreckage. I would try to help out as much as possible and save as many people as I could.

  • If i was one of the survivors I would be so happy and thankful that I made it and even if I was hurt I would try and help others that were trapped because I would feel like it was my job to help. If I was a rescuer I wouldn't have time to think or to second guess I would do everything in my power to rescue everyone I could.

    • I agree you would have to try and rescue as many people as you can as fast as you can because you don't know who's still in the hotel and how long they have until they cant live anymore

  • If I were one of the survivors, I would have definitely been petrified and anxious. Being in that situation and not knowing whether the rest of my family is okay, would be unimaginable. In the position of a rescuer, I would be completely appalled of how sudden the accident happened. In the process of looking for survivors, I might begin to find myself in distress after seeing the traumatic sites.

  • This is such a sad and unfortunate accident. If I were a survivor, I would be extremely grateful. However, If my family was still inside, I would be angry and desperate to find them. Being a rescuer would be both beneficial and difficult. You might save people, but you might also witness deaths and terrible scenes. I have a ton of respect for rescuers because they are brave and willing to sacrifice themselves to save others.

  • If I was a survivor I would feel extremely grateful and lucky to have survived. I would also be terrified because I'm trapped in a buried hotel. Then if I was a rescuer I would feel so terrible that this event occurred and would want to fine every survivor possible and try to save them.

  • i would probably feel cold really cold, but honestly I wouldn't be fazed by it really because that is just the kind of person I am. I would say I found some kids get the blankets and get them out and  loaded up.

    • Well if it was covered in snow it would be really cold so it would definitely faze you but I guess telling people that it didn't to look tough is understandable. And i don't know if you would be able to find and blankets i don't think they were able to move.
