Audrey Symes, a mother of a then two-year old in NYC, was able to collect almost 20,000 diapers with only a stroller and Facebook post for families in need. This busy mother was looking for a way to volunteer in her free time, so she called the Good Plus Foundation, what she thought could be just updating a few spread sheets turned into much much more. So with a simple Facebook post, "[She] was hoping to get 500," turns out that she got approximately 1,200 diapers! So, she felt more inspired to get out there and help these families! Audrey would walk around the neighborhood with a stroller to collect partially opened in packs of diapers from other parents. Now this organization get about 250,000 diaper per month!

I think as long as they look through these donations and make sure that there is nothing wrong with the diapers then it's a really good idea!
If I had the time and I lived it a bigger city, I think it would be an awesome opportunity for volunteering and giving back to my community!

1. I think this is a safe idea and I would trust everyone to give diapers, but just in case they would still have to be sorted through just to make sure that there's nothing wrong with them.
2. It sounds like a good way to help, but it's not the ideal thing I myself would do. I've never been good at collecting things, especially in big numbers, so I don't think I'd be very suited for the task.
Yes, I think it would be safe as long as the packages of daipers were sealed. It would be safer this way seeing as then people can't do anything to them before donating. I think it is a great thing that she is doing. I would consider doing something like this but I don't think I would collect daipers. I would collect items that I could relate to more. Something that I could see the difference in.
I think it can and cant be safe , I mean it is very hard to trust people these days and talking a pack of diapers from someone completely unknown is a little risky. I probably wouldnt go this just because you never know if there really is something wrong with them until they are used and the problem starts.
It is very hard to trust complete stranger now, especially when you are in such a big city! It definitely is a risky project, but the outcome could make such an impact! I get that! You could do other things to help volunteer!

Yes. If it were for a cuase I would do as much as I could to set that goal and achieve it. I am a goal setter that's what I do.
Yeah! Definitely! They would just need to make sure there's nothing wrong with them before handing them out! It's such a good goal! It could help so many kids and parents that are living paycheck to paycheck!
I think that collecting un opened diapers would be safer. Who knows what strangers could do to diapers. This could endager babies lifes. I think that its a great idea to help other familes in need. I would definetly do this if i was inspired to do something great.
That's true. It could be very dangerous collecting diapers from complete strangers! It could put the families in danger if they are not checking them properly! It could be a really good idea if they check them!
I think it's safe as long as they have a wokring method they use to make sure the diapers are ok to use. I would, to help those fomilies in need of things, and I would try to collect other items to if i had time to do this.
