Tuesday- We set up weekly blogs today.

Wednesday- Review of WWI.

Thursday- The 1920's. Also called the Roaring 20's because the economy was doing well. The Republican era because there were 3 Republican presidents. The Jazz age because Jazz was the young people music. The Lost Generation (born between 1883- 1900) lost because of the war. Boom to bust the economy was booming then busted. Decade of Normalcy because the U.S. wants to go back to normal and focus on America. Prosperity Decade, jobs did good. Prohibition-era. The advertising era, because many advertisements were on the radio and the advertisements were directed towards women. The golden age of sports, because with radios you could listen and cars you could drive to games. The era of permanent prosperity, which wasn't true. The Red Scare was a period of time after WWI (1919-1920) were the U.S. was scared of becoming communist. Red is the color of communism. The communist's goal was to infiltrate countries and start revolutions the overthrow the government. Karl Marx and Friederich Engels started communism. Totalitism-one person has complete power. Practice vs. Theory. The government has complete power and citizens have no freedom vs. all citizens will be equal.

Friday- Bolshevism- is communism. In a capitalistic economy, people own businesses. China, North Korea, Cuba, Vietnam, and Laos are the only communist countries right now. Vladimir Lenin was the first communist leader.
