Will Donald Trump be The First President Indicted?

In the past few weeks, a possible indictment of ex president, Donald Trump, has been in discussion. First of all, what is an indictment? An indictment is a formal charge or accusation of a serious crime. If you have watched any news outlets in the past weeks you probably would have heard of what is going on. This case is such a big deal because Donald Trump could become the first U.S. president to be indicted. There have been multiple investigations placed upon him that may get him indicted. To begin, Trump is being investigated for paying an adult film star, Stormy Daniels, hush money.

Accusations of Trump having an affair with Stormy Daniels have been surfacing for years. However, there are some who are wanting to charge Trump for it. Trump allegedly paid the adult film actress one hundred and thirty thousand dollars for her to not say anything about it. The reason he is being investigated is because these expenses were marked down as “legal fees” which can be a felony in the state of New York. However, Trump stands by the allegations of being fake, saying things like “I’m not frustrated by it. It’s a fake investigation. We did nothing wrong – I told you that.” Donald Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, claims that Trump ordered him to pay Daniels to keep her quiet. Michael Cohen was sentenced to three years on December 12, 2018.

Also, Trump is being investigated for multiple other potential crimes. One of them being the possible interference with the 2020 election. It is said that he tried to have the state of Georgia recount or find enough votes to overturn his loss. He also claimed that the state of Georgia shredded some of his votes. It is said that he tried bribing or threatening Georgia about his conspiracy.

Lastly, another investigation that all of you might have heard about is the investigation about the January 6th riot. There are people who think that he should be blamed for it. Some say that he incited violence or that he didn’t try to stop it when he knew what was happening. I think that what happened that day was a shame, but I don't know who should be blamed for it.

I personally am not on either side of these arguments. However, it seems to me that Trump isn’t in the best situation. Who knows, he might get off the hook, or he will be arrested for them. Only time will tell what will happen to the ex president, Donald Trump.

Do you think that Donald Trump is guilty of these allegations, why or why not?

What is your opinion on the whole situation?

  • I do not know rather donald trump is guilty or not. I think if they can prove he is guilty, he probably is. I personally hope he is not guility. I think trump has good leadership and knows what he is doing. I hope he can run for president in the coming years. Not sure though.

  • I personally don't know much about this topic so I don't know if he is guilty or not. I don't think he should get charged until it is certain sure is he is guilty or not. I agree with you that he is not in the best situation because he has been accused for multiple things but I don't know what will end up happening.

  • Indictment isn't an easy process. There has to be plenty of evidence and witnesses to even get him arrested. Personally, I feel that even if he doesn't get indicted, he is still guilty. I feel that he provoked a lot of violence and made a lot of his supporters believe how he could be potentially right.

  • I personally think that Trump is guilty. In New York, it is illegal to pay someone hush money, due to it being a form of blackmail and/or bribery. I feel like he probably did try to interfere with the elections, but there are also allegations of Biden doing that. So I really don't know what to think about that. I also think that the January 6th riot was awful and he deserves to be found guilty for that. Rioting isn't very good, it gets the point across, but that doesn't mean it is right. He had his supporters go into one of the most important federal government buildings in D.C. I feel like both Trump and Biden aren't good people, I don't like either of them.

  • I think Trump is not Guilty. He brought peace to our world. The only mess he left before Biden came in was his Twitter usage. I think he is one of the better presidents we have had. The media can twist a lot of things he says. He had great ideas that he tried to implement, but the media is all controlled by the democrats and liberals. They try to control him. This is sort of like the Andrew Tate situation.

  • I personally believe that Donald Trump is not guilty to what he has done with Stormy Daniles. She just wanted to get her name out with a big guy that she could get more attention, and she could get money for what they say has happened.

    • I could see that as a possibility of what happened. It happens too often where someone makes up a story to get them cancelled. I wish that we knew all of the facts about these stories.

  • I do not think that Donald Trump is guilty. I think that Stormy Daniles came out with this information to try to get attention. She said that he paid her to keep quiet and he still paid her to stop lying about it. I guess I don't know enough about this story to have a strong opinion.

  • I really don't know much about this story, so I can't really say if I think Donald Trump is guilty or not. But, I think that Stormy Daniels could've came out and said those things to get more attention. So personally I don't think Trump should be charged with this, because no one knows for certain if this is real or not.

  • I do not think that Donald Trump is guilty. Stormy Daniels came out and said that she made it up just to get more political attention. She said that he still paid her to keep it a secret so that she wouldn't continue to lie about it. In my opinion, Trump should not be charged for this. It was set up by the democrats to make Trump look bad when he runs for president.
