31 year old murder suspect Jeffrey Chapman is hoping to get his neck tattoo removed before his trial. Why? Its the word 'murder' but mirrored. County officials denied his request to meet with a tattoo artist to get it removed. The solution? He'll wear a turtle neck in court. His lawyer didn't return any of the calls but in the court papers it was stated that his client's body art was not relevant to the case and the jurors would judge him just at first glance.

What would you think if you were in the jury and you saw that tattoo? Do you think he should be allowed to get it removed?

  • I would think he murdered someone. He should have to keep it. I wonder what tattoo artist would tattoo that for him?

  • It's hard to say that I wouldn't judge him for his tattoo, but I think I would a little in all honesty. It's not an easy thing to overlook. I think that he made the decision to get the tattoo in the first place, and he should have to deal with the consequences. Wearing a turtleneck in court is a good solution.

  • I think he should have been allowed to get it removed. If I was on the jury I wouldn't judge based on looks.

  • I think he should not be allowed to get it removed. It shows the kind of person he is and the jury needs to see that. If I was in the jury I would be very suspicious as to why he had it.

  • Why would you get a tattoo on your neck that says murder... I think if the jury saw the tattoo they could definitely make up their minds pretty easily

  • I would thing that it is his body and that it means nothing. If it is mirrored then I think he is fine because you are not going to be able to read something backwards at first glance. Even thought he is a suspect don't make it look like you are trying to hide something. They might figure out why he has that tattoo. So I wouldn't even try to get that tattoo off

  • i would think that its a little strange that he has that tattoo and hes on murder trial then obviously something is wrong there even the tear drop on his eye means that hes killed one person from what ive seen on jail shows.

  • I think he should be free to get it removed if he wants to. It is his choice and shouldn't affect he trial by his body art.

  • I wouldn't judge him buy his tattoo but he should have the right to have it removed. In court it would be a major sign that he did it.

  • I think he should be able to do what he wants but I think it should catch the jury's attention.
