A car's governor is a system in your vehicle that limits how fast you can go. The governor makes your car stop putting fuel into the engine when you hit a certain speed. This causes you to go slower. This can be good so people dont go faster than they can handle. A car is limited by the engine's power and the tires you have on your vehicle. Tires are only supposed to handle so much speed, if you exceed that speed your tires could explode. Most cars have governors on them from the factor for safety reasons. Some people take the governor off to go faster. They do this by reprogramming their vehicle.
Some cars dont have a governor on them from the factor. This could make some customers happy but it is also could be bad for them or other people if they try to go too fast. Cars are governed for a reason, because the car is not rated, or it is unsafe by going faster than it is supposed to.
I think cars should be governed at 100 miles per hour because it's not safe to go faster. I dont think there is a reason to go over 100mph because if you crash you are going to die and if you hit somebody else they are going to die too. You only live once so there is no reason to ruin it by doing something you can prevent with a simpal governer.

I do think my car has a governor, however, despite my best efforts, the spedometer just keeps going up. (55 mph) I do not think cars should have governors just in case you wanted to take your car to a track or a closed course. Governors are pointless because you can just get them tuned to get rid of the governor.
In my opinion, I believe that cars should have governers because there is no reason that you should be going over 100 miles per hour in your car, and governers prevent this. I don't know if my car has a governor and it doesn't matter because I will never be going fast enough for it to be put to use. I think that cars should be governed at 100 mph because, as I said before, nobody even needs to go that fast.

I think governerns arnt a bad thing. Sometimes its fun to go fast but over 100 mile an hour is too fast and risking your life and other people live on the roadway.
