In idonesia there was a woman that was rescued 24 hours after her ferry sank. It was said that 20 people drown and 20 others are still missing. Dumai Express 10 was the name of the ferry that sank on sunday. They say it sank becasue of huge waves. The ferry was going from Batam to Dumai in Riau when it sank, and it was 90 min into their trip there.Anyway about the woman. She was in her thirties and a fisherman saw her in the water with her life jacket in the rain. She was in normal condition when they brought her to the hospital. That is one tough girl if you ask me. There were people sent out to look for the 20 people that went missing but the weather has not been the greatest so that made it hard for them to look.That woman was the only one found that day. There is a possibiltiy that some of the people that are missing got caught in the ship somehow and sunk down with it. The ferries sinking have killed many many people and happen often. Most of the time these boats are very crowded and the safty issues are not very strics so its easier to have accidents. Also they are very cheep to ride so lots of people use them.I think its wonderful that she was rescued but it just breaks my heart to hear that children are some of those people that are loosing their life on these ferries. I really believe that they could do a better job on regulating how many people can be on it and that everyone has a life jacket. They also need to know when bad weather is going to happen because you wouldnt want to go out in that. It would be a big risk to go out then.
