Ch. 5-8 ProjectPosted by Mr. Bruns on September 22, 2009 at 9:33am in US HistoryBack to US History Discussions.Ch. 5-8 ProjectOver the course of the next week, students will be researching specific chapters/sections from Ch. 5, 6, 7, and 8. Your ultimate goal is to present to the class the most important information from your chapter/section.You may choose to present to the class any way you or your group chooses. I do highly recommend using some sort of technology such as Powerpoint, Voicethread, etc.Your first duty will be to look through your section/chapter and pick out the most important information that you should include in your presentation. This is a very important skill that many students struggle with.Once you figure out the main topics you want to present on, you must then research those topics and put together your presentation. You will have the remainder of the week to work on this project. Presentations will start on Monday, starting with Ch. 5.Ch. 5-Changes on the Western FrontierSection 1: Cultures Clash on the Great PlainsSection 2: Settling on the Great PlainsSection 3: Farmers and the Populist MovementCh. 6-A New Industrial AgeSection 1: The Expansion on IndustrySection 2: The Age of the RailroadsSection 3: Big Business and Labor
