Stocks are an investment in a business. The Dow Jones is the top thrirty businesses together and its an indicator. Housing tells you how the economy is doing because a lot of businesses go into making a house. The new deal helped get us out of the great depression but WWII was the main way we got out of the great depression. We now are in a ression. Now there is going to be more teachers getting fired. There are teachers that are worried that they might get laid off and they stop buying things.
