When reading chapter 15 one thing that stuck out to me was the social security act. The act came into effect in 1935, it was passed by a commity chared by Francis Perkins. The Social Secerity act, provided a pension for retired workers and there spouces, and aided people with dissibalitys. When wanting to apply for social secerity you have to apply and you also have to qualify.
The Lure of Motion Pictures and Radio was another subject that caught my eye. It became such a big thing in the 1930 that there were 15000 more put up in. Families were going once a week to the movies. movie theaters made 13 million to 28 million a year.
