Democracy (direct)- Everyone votes- (Representation)-Vote on a representative.

Monarchy- king or queen ruler.

Anarchy- no government

Dictatorship- One ruler with absolute power usually gained by force

communism- a group rules and the government has ownership of everything.

Mixed economy- U.S.A.- Government will provide what is needed.

socialism- can lead to work ethic no longer being present.

Mon.Went over politics power point

The congress is the number of electors also

Electives can lose popular vote but win electoral vote and win

George bush lost to Al gore but Won electoral collage election came down to Florida

Donald trump lost popular vote by 2.3 million votes but won the electoral collage

Republicans do well in rural areas and far west/ south. Democrats do well around great lakes cities and highly populated areas.

Nixon started an organization that helped him win Using the “dirty tricks campaign” Thus name calling, gay stuff, child problems used effectively eventually pitting democrats against each other thus causing democrats to drop out because of bad press.

The east/ west were split during the election of 1976

since 1988 California has gone democratic.

2004- was a republican victory starring Bush

Conservative- Cut where spending isn't needed

Conservatives favor status quo.

Wants to cut taxes on Business.
