Notes from Political Systems Presentations:

  • Anarchy- absences of government and absolute freedom of the individual, regarded as a political ideal; free reign being controlled by no higher authority
Examples (countries that have problems rather than full blown anarchy): Soviet Union, China, Africa, Greece, Great Britain,  Somalia. 
  • Oligarchy- a small group of people having control of a country, organization, or institution; a country, business, etc, that is controlled by a small group of people 
Examples: Russia, China, Saudi, Arabia, Iran, Turkey

  • The Practice of Communism:
a theory or system of social organization based on the holding of all property in common, actual ownership being ascribed to the community as a whole or the state
5 Countries that have Communism: 
  • North Korea (Kim Jong Un)

  • Laos (Choummaly Sayasone) 
  • Vietnam (Truong Tan Sang)
  • China (Xi Jingping)

Wednesday- took a political spectrum test. And talked about Current Events

Thursday- Talked about the latest Republican polls
