1. capitalism- You get to keep what you earn (except for taxes)  and there is a profit motive. Individuals own businesses

US, Canada, Mexico, Peru, Jamaica 

2. socialism-  Everyone is treated equally and everyone gets the same amount. Ultimate goal is to create Communism. Government controls businesses 

China, Vietnam, Somalia, Portuguese Republic, Lao 

3. mixed economy

Political Systems:

1. Practice of Communism- A political system where productive resources are owned by he public or the state. Their wealth is divided out equally or according to one's need. Government controls everything. 

China, Vietnam, Laos, North Korea, Cuba 

2. Theory of Communism-Karl Marx- The middle and lower classes are going to get angry at the upper class and start a war against them, creating a country where everyone is equal. 

3. Absolute Monarchy- Monarchy is a form of government where there is one supreme leader that is passed down through the royal family (absolute power) 

4. Constitutional Monarchy- a monarchy where if the leader wants something it has to be checked by parliament through family 

Sweden- Constitutional 

Japan- Constitutional 

Swaziland- Absolute 

7. Dictatorship- one leader has power over everyone (Hitler)  

Belarus

8. Anarchy- A country that has no government but believes that people can make decisions on their own (absence of government) 

Afghanistan and Somalia 

9. Oligarchy- A small number of people that have control of a country or organization 

China, North Korea, Venezuela, former Soviet Union
