TIps- (Forum post leaders)
1. Two forum posts need to be published by Monday morning so you can give a brief summary of your topics to the class that day. If not ready to discuss, you will lose five points per day.
2. Both forum post topics should be based on current events, social issues or history related. Be sure to choose appropriate, important and interesting topics with catchy titles. Pick stories that lead to good discussion. It is ok to choose positive stories!
3. Be sure to summarize the article in your own words.
4. Be sure to include your voice/opinions into your summaries.
5. Be sure to pose a question(s) to the audience so they know how to respond. Stay away from yes/no questions.
6. Be sure to include a link to the original story.
7. Be sure to reply regularly to student comments throughout the week.

2. If you aren't doing them, consider opting out
3. Be sure to take notes during class. Just listing topics discussed does not count
4. Be sure to publish your blog on Monday each week. If i look at your blog and it was published two weeks late, I question where you got your notes.
5. Be sure to explain any irregularities in your blog
6. Feel free to write notes instead of typing and turn them in if you prefer
7. Be honest with yourself- Should I opt out or not?
