Monday- Germany notes

Germany-

Goals for the Nazi's-

Destroy the Royal Air Force but it never happened, Nazi bombers did so bad that they started bombing at night only.

They wanted to attack and destroy the British Navy and troops

Never surrender, fight everywhere, and operation Barbarossa

1941- Nazis invade USSR in June which is the biggest invasion in history

Invaded Leningrad in the North, Moscow in the middle the Russian capitol, Stalingrad in the south. The Germans had 90% of the city in their hands but the Russian winter turn it around.

Stalin demanded this of Soviets troops as they retreated. 

Scored Earth Policy - burn everything that they couldn't take burn what they couldn't take so Germany couldn't have it.

Battle of Stalingrad - over 2 million people die

D-Day - June 6, 1944

The Battle of the Bulge: Hitler's last offensive

 After WWII, Germany splits into 2 country West Germany (we supporter) and East Germany (was taken over by the Soviets)

1947 War ends Jews from concentration camps were placed in the land of Israel.  

Tuesday- Continued

Wednesday- Finished notes and did Holocaust notes, Bruns reviewed

Thursday- Took group test over Germany

Friday- No school
