Week of January 4 - 8

Monday, January 4

No school

Tuesday, January 5

Today was the first day of the semester and we began by going over rules/expectations.

Wednesday, January 6

Forum post leaders went over their posts. Then, we got into our groups for the 1920s/1930s project and picked out topics. Our topics include -

  • causes of the Great Depression
  • impact the Great Depression had on people and our country
  • President Hoover's attempt (or lack thereof) to help solve the Great Depression

Plan on knowing our research topics well by Friday and having a video prepared by next Wednesday.

1920s/1930s Decades in Contrast

Thursday, January 7

We started class today by going over the rubric for the Great Depression video. Then, we spent the rest of the class period researching our respective topics.

Reminder to know our topics fairly well by tomorrow and have all research completed by that time as well.

Friday, January 8

We picked forum post leaders at the beginning of class. (reminder to self to make sure to have that posted by Monday.) We spent the rest of time our time researching the Great Depression and getting ready to make our videos.
