Monday: We took the political spectrum test
Tuesday: We continued going over the politics presentation and took the class quiz over Central America
Electoral College- Official process to elect the president and vice president of the united states
Candidate that wins the majority vote in a certain state also wins its electoral votes
Smaller states- gives them power in democracy and maintains their rights
Popular vote would give more power to bigger states
Faithless Electors aren’t required to vote for the candidate who won the popular vote in a certain state. It is illegal to against the law and it was created by the founding fathers to insure that the people don’t choose the wrong person

Wednesday: We talked about a lot of current events and read “These are the new symbols of hate”
DACA- immigration policy that will allow children who entered the U.S while 15 years old or younger who are in an ESL class to get a working permit
2016- Obama requires students at schools to use whatever bathroom they feel most comfortable with- North Carolina is the only state that makes kids us the bathroom of their biological gender
Thursday: Finished reading articles and discussed current events
