-Research and create a presentation on what you and your group consider to be the five biggest events that shaped our government and nation from Native Americans coming over the land bridge until 1877 with Reconstruction.

-Use Ch. 1-4 of the US History textbook to help

Topics to research and include in your presentation:

  • Oregon Trail played a really big role during this time 
    • Traveled from Independence, Missouri to Oregon City, Oregon)
  • California Gold Rush big role (travel to California looking for gold)

    • First female to make Oregon Trail on foot and first attempt to travel Oregon trail by wagon
  • Levi Strauss
    • dry goods wholesaler on San Francisco's Market during California Gold Rush
