culture of the plain Indians-hunted buffalo for food, clothing, and to make houses, tribes led by everyone, they believed that everyone should share land, not be able to own it. 

settlers push westward-they went there for gold,farming,businesses and to own more land.

government restrict native Americans, set aside land for them, made them live in certain areas. ]

sand creek masicere- 700 men attack native Americas because Americans want to more westward and the natives didn't want them to move any further

bozeman trail- it was in Indian hunting grounds, the natives didn't want white settler on the trails

treaty of fort laramie- gave ownership of the black hills to the Sioux nation, it was a agreement between the u.s. and the Sioux nation

barbed wire defined people properties,

white people shot buffalo for sport

in the 1800 there were 16,000,000

in 1890 there we less than 1000 buffalo

women did a lot of work that including, housework, some of men work, sponsored schools and churches and a lot more

on the great plains had long hot summers and dry hot summers

the homestead act gave people that didn't have much a little land to farm, the problem was though they didn't  know how to farm
