president Woodrow Wilson's platform was "he kept us out of war"
German sunk British ship that Americans were on, and eventually american ships
in the beginning of the war, we were neutral and we could trade with both sides, each side set up blockades to block trade
the Lusitania was the most important ship that Germany sunk
the second reason we went to war was the Zimmerman note, it was a note to mexico from Germany, to have mexico declare war on us to keep us out of Germany
