Native americans came up to 23,000 years ago and came here when they continents were still connected. They all came around the same time, not over thousands of years.

The europeans lied stole and cheated to get stuff from the native americans. Also killed off buffalo and then the indian removal act took place in 1830’s-1840’s

The trail of tears also known as cherokee removal lasted around 20 years

Sir francis drake traveled the whole world by water

Pons de leon, henry cabot,Columbus,magellan/and his crew was the first to sail the crew and see the world was round, cabot was one of the first explorers to sail further north.

The explorers were mainly after gold and riches and by the 1500’s slavery had started like with tobacco. Then most colonization took place in the 1600-1700’s

Lots of spain's people settled in mexico and florida

The line of demarcation and then he said all land east of the line goes to portuguese and everyone to the west goes to spain.

The spanish, the british and portuguese, were big time players

Georgia north/south carolina,maryland,delaware,new jersey, connecticut,massachusetts,new hampshire,rhode island,pennsylvania were all part of the 13 colonies

The french and indian war was between great britain vs. the france. Then after great britain was in a massive debt so they started taxing and then started no taxation without representation.

The proclamation line was a line the britain came up with.

The boston massacre did not start the war but did lead to anger and tension in boston so then the boston tea party happened.

They closed boston harbor until the people of boston payed back the tea and then took away the charter in maryland and then they were also forced the quarter soldiers in their homes.

In the declaration of independence their is lots of rules about george the third.

George washington wasn't president right away we actually went a decade with a different kind of government.

There also used to only be one vote per state and that’s how they decided the more important things.

The US constitution sets up our 3 branches of government and sets up our rights.Seperation of power is the reason why we have 3 branches and its so we don’t have a king or a dictator. The 3 branches have to check on eachother/ checks and balances.

James madison was the father of the constitution

The senate and house of representatives are the two.a term for a senator is 6 years.

The president has to be at least 35 and can serve a most of 10 years/2 terms

Commander and chief/president appoints federal officers, gives the finial ok for war, makes sure the laws are enforced,

The US constitution is the supreme law of the united states. It also sets up out government and its responsibilities. It protects the states and peoples rights. It is also a living rights document.

Their is 27 amendments.

Manifest destiny is when many americans didnt care about native americans and they said it was there god giving right to take over all the west coast and east coast and all of that.

When we got our independence from great britain the mississippi was south border for us then the louisiana purchase gave us iowa and a lot of states to our left, And then in 1819 we got florida from spain. Then in 1845 the texas annexation and then we had the mexican american war and we won which meant we got lots of what then was mexico. Then in 1846 we signed to get what is now oregon and around that from great britain.we purchased alaska from russia also then in 1898 we forced ourselves into hawaii.

Lewis and clark then explored most of what was to become the louisiana purchase and then took notes of what they had seen. It took 2 years to do all they also went up into to oregon and that area.
