Tuesday- chapter 10 definitions of words- we had imperialism
Wednesday- chapter 10 U.S did not intervene in other countries especially Europe because the were constantly in wars. Isolation- U.S. acted alone, weak army and navy, U.S. waited for things to happen and then acted accordingly. Imperialistic- conquering territory to create an empire, needed stronger Navy and army. became more involved in other countries affairs. strong pride and confidence in one's country.

Friday- chapter 10-Queen Liliuokalani was taken over by Dole while she was trying to regain power for Hawaiians. Got Alaska because Russia wanted to get rid of it. most unknown war if the Spanish american war, people felt sorry for Cubans, newspapers were like the internet.
