How did the New Deal help:
home owners- The USHA is an agency that gives money to communities so they can build houses. They thought that giving them a house would make people want to do more with their lives and they would want to go out and find jobs. They saw a problem and they said that there needed to be a difference between people who were too poor to get a house and those who were just too lazy to get a job.
The HOLC helped people keep their homes. It prevented foreclosure and it extended loans so people could keep their homes. People had 3 to 4 years to pay off their loans and this allowed them to pay it in 15-30 years.
Describe the culture of the 1930's.
-Johnny on a Pony, Stoop Ball, Stickball, Monopoly, and Garden Golf were some of the games that kids would play. Black had crazy shoulder pads and that was the style. Betty Boop and Drive-in Theatres were very popular and that was their entertainment.
Fashion-Women wore very curvy clothes to show off their figures. They would perm their hair and they wore a lot of sequins. Men wore double breasted suits and they wore mostly dark colored clothes.
