Today in class, we started with presentations. Becka and Jusitce continued with theirs on deforestation. Justice told us about organizations that are helping it. One of them is the World Wildlife Fund which is trying to figure out what is happening to the forest and try and plant trees. Some of the causes of deforestation are expansion of agriculture, logging, mining, poverty and expansion of industry. I learned ways we could try and stop it. We could recyle more, be concious of what we are buying, donate money to WWF and try and get the government to pass laws to keep the world clean. Effects of deforestation are land degradation, severe soil erosion and loss of earths biodiversity.We finished blog discussion. Bri did hers on how tuition costs were getting really high again. Gggrrrrreeeeaaaatttt!!! Well Jena told us about Charla Nash who got attacked by her friends chimp. Taylor told us a happy story ha, it was about how an astronauts wife had a baby while he was in space. Max told us about how there was a ferry in Indonesia that sunk. We ran out of time...again.
