Congo:
- In Congo their mainly having Civil Wars, but are also experiencing starvation, malnutrition, overpopulation, and disease.
- They're arguing over minerals and better land in the country amongst themselves
- Excess from Rwanda genocide are causing overpopulation by flooding in and taking up some of the much needed resources
- People are getting tortured and sexually abused
- Often groups ( diffrent races fighting against eachother ) have been using young children to do the murduring, and awful things
- Most of the kids that do the terrible things were kidnapped and brainwashed into doing certain tasks
- Over 5,400 people have died due to the conflics
- The security of the country is weak and inactive
- Often they poach animals to eat, many time getting diseases from the animals
- It's the deadliest conflict since World War 2
- Belgium had control of Congo until 1960s when they let them be independent, leaving them poor and politically unstable
- Their previous president was assassinated, and this son took over
- The U.N. helped by sending over a peace keeping force to help the rebel movements.
