Lend Lease Act- we would lend things to them during war but at end of war they would have to return what we had gave them...German invasion of Soviet Union was a big mistake because they had a ginormous army and they had also already signed the Non-aggression Pact... thought that if he captured Stalingrad, Kiev, Moscow, and Leningrad that he would have control of the Soviet Union....the cold weather and the snow helped the russians out a lot...the German army got weak and the russians were dominating...Stalin started the Scorch Earth Policy which meant that they would torch everything when they retreated...Japan invaded french Indochina which made the US stop trading with them.... Yamamoto was the person that came up with the idea of the Pearl Harbor attack....People on the island were scared about an inside attack because there were a lot of japs on the island so they lined up all the boats on Pearl Harbor...they thought they had knocked us out...but as bruns would say...they awoke "the sleeping giant"....Japan used like wood or something to buoy their torpedos...
