We finished Mr. Bruns’s power point. We need to know the difference between Bush’s and Obama’s policies for the test on Friday. The democrats want to cut military spending and expand veteran’s benefits. The republicans want to increase military spending and cut veteran’s benefits. The democrats are against the death penalty because it is not a deterrent and innocent people in jeopardy. The republicans are for the death penalty because it is necessary and effective. Iowa doesn’t have the death penalty. 57% of all people killed are white. 99% of the people killed are male. There have only been 59 women killed on the death penalty. Kansas and New York think that the death penalty is unconstitutional and it is not allowed. Iowa allows gay marriage. Then after we watched to power point we went over the Latin America maps.Mr Bruns will be gone tomorrow so we can study for our map test that we will take next week, study for the democrat/republican test on Friday, or work on our blogs.
