Today we went over the Central America map and introduced the Caribbean Islands. Then we finished up the blog discussions. Dani's blog was about George Bush and Barack Obama's policies on Iraq. Mr. Bruns then continued with his Democrat/Repubican powerpoint. He said that where you live can affect what party you belong to. Most people who live in cities are Democrat because there are more minorities and Democrats are more willing to give help to those kind of people. Young people often go Democrat also because of things like abortion and gay marriage. Older people were brought up to believe that these kind of things are wrong but young people these days are more lenient and accepting. Rural areas tend to be more Republican because of stronger family values and religion.
