Today we went over Central America and also the Carrabian. We finished off blog discussions. Starting back in 2006, Democrats were disgusted with the war in Iraq, calling it such things like a lie. We finally continued with Mr. Bruns' powerpoint! Yay! We did a quick review on why Republicans talk conservative/Democrats talk liberal at the begining of elections. Lots of young people vote Democrat because they hit on topics that appeal more to them. Many women also vote Democrat because of abortion. The countryside is usually more Republican because they lean twards more family and religious values. We looked at the maps from 2000, 2004 & 2008 presidential elections to see what the states overall voted. In Iowa, if you're a minor and are having an abortion, at least one parent must be informed about it. We will finish the powerpoint later. Tomorrow Mr. Bruns will be gone so we will have a work day on our blogs.
