We started class off today by going over the Latin America map twice. Then we got introduced to the Caribbean map. Our class finally finished our blog discussions today. Shannon talked about why Iraq invaded Kuwait in 1990 because they were drilling into Iraq’s oil. Obama wants to try to get us out of Iraq as soon as possible. Mr. Bruns brought up his Democrat/Republican slideshow and we discussed it. We saw the election maps for the 2000 and 2004 elections. He showed what the patterns are in certain places and talked about how where you live can affect your vote. Republicans are conservative and the democrats are liberal. Democrats think abortion is alright because it should be the mother’s choice. Republicans think it shouldn’t be possible because no one should have to die. In the powerpoint there was a graph of all the countries showing how many abortions there are out of every baby born. Then there was a map showing all the different laws having to do with minors that are pregnant in the United States.
