Today the group for France went.

1. How did the Treaty of Versailles impact them? They recieved a lot of land and money, but they belived that the Treaty shouldve been harder on germany.


2. What type(s) of government did this country have in the interwar years(1919-1938)? The Free French Underground and the Vichy Goverment. The Vichy Government was supported by hitler and it was encouraged to resist the armistice.


3. How did their leader, that led them throughout WWII, come to power? General Charles da Gaulle was the leader of the free french forces.


4. How did this leader change their country(for the better and worse) prior to WWII?


5. What were the goals of the leader? They didnt want Germany to militarize again and become strong.


6. What was the military strategy of this country in the inter-war years(1919-1938)? They Didnt want Germany to rise to power again.


7. What role did they play in WWII? they signed the munich pact and declared war on germany after they started invading poland. the frech surrendered in 1940 and was occupied by germany until 1944.


8. Who were their allies in WWII? thier allies were the U.S., Britain, USSR, Australie, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Poland. and many others.


9. How did WWII impact/effect the country? Franch was badly damaged by WWII, they had poor economic conditions.
