France focused so much on defense and they built a huge wall on their border but stopped. Germany just had to go through Belgium like in WWI. France's strategy was defensive.
7. What role did they play in WWII? Joined GB in 1938 to sign the Munich Pact, they let Hitler take over some of Chechaslovokia and all of Austria and then told France and GB that he wouldn't take over anymore land. They gave into Hitler's demands so that it could prevent war which obviouls didn't work. France declared war on Germany in 1939 but they surrendered by 1940. General: China was invaded, they never left their home country, Japan took a lot of land from China and were just terrible to them. Once the US came in and bombed Japan China finally did overcome and win. Also with how big China was and how many people were there it was just to much for Japan to overcome with how small they were.
