Today is already Wednesday. Yeah, I can't believe it either. Mr. Wagner REALLY needs to get that waiver form thing that says that we don't have to make up all of those missed days. Otherwise we would be going to like, June 4th. That Sucks. Absolutely nobody is in the learning school mood today. We are spending today talking about our blogs that we did about topics from chapter 15. I was unknowingly one of three people who did a blog about Dorothea Lange. Here's a recap: Dorothea Lange was a famous field journalist photographer along with her husband. Dorothea was hired by the FSA to document struggles in the U.S. during the great Depression. She was a person who could relate with the hardships of the common people, and was accepted by them.Eleanor Roosevelt was an interesting woman. She grew up in an abusive family, and was insecure for many years. When she met Franklin, he brought out the beauty from within her and she became a courageous person. When FDR became president, she helped him quite a bit in the White House, especially when Frankling was struck with polio. She was also a big advocate in Civil Rights. The NYA was set up by Eleanor Roosevelt. The NYA was an organization that helped young people get jobs. Franklin was not very supportive of this because he believed that the older, man of the house, shoud be the person to earn the money in the family and get work. However, Eleanor was very productive and made her program work.I really liked Dorothea Lange's story. She was a real people person and was really a respectable and tough lady. Plus she beat polio as a child.
