Today we once again reviewed for our states and capitals test that is tomorrow! This time if the class was confident and loud we got 10 points. Mr.Bruns decided to give us a 9 out of 10, because we weren't as confident in some spots as others. We talked about a Baptist church in Idaho that sent some people to Haiti to help the kids. They're now being accused of stealing kids and taking them to the Dominican Republic to put them up with illegal adoption. Don't Ask Don't Tell is permitting homosexuals into the military. President Clinton created that when he was in office. President Obama wants to make it now so that anyone can join. We continued with presenting our projects. Brittany, Cheryl and Dani's subject was Communism. Communism is basically getting rid of all private property and everyone being treated equally. That is theory. Karl Marx came up with the theory of Communism. The theory of Communism is very detailed. The theory of Communism has never happened. The theory states that the poor rise up and overthrow the rich & powerful, and everything becomes equal. There are no social classes. Countries with this system are China, Soviet Union, Cuba, Vietnam, North Korea, and Laos. The Soviet Union, though, is no longer a country. China is the most powerful Communist country in the world today. The first Communist country was the Soviet Union. China is starting to ease a lot of their restrictions.
