Test day! Before I took my test, I studied over some of the main topics like the cycle of the great depression, three r's, and some of the alphabet organization groups.
People lost jobs, so there was less spending, so companies didn't make enough money, and the cycle repeats.
People critized the new deal because some said they weren't doing enough to help the old and poor people. They said that FDR needed to give out more money. There were also people who said he was doing too much and labeling himself as a Communist.
The Supreme Court was calling FDR unconsitutional because he tried court packing. For every member who was 70 or older, he wanted to an additional member to the Supreme Court. That would typically allow him to add six people and he wanted to add all democrats so it would be easier for him to pass a law.
The New Deal helped unemployment with the RFC, CCC, FERA, and PWA. The RFC gave money to banks and businesses to help give people jobs. The CCC gave people monet an education and $30. The FERA did alot with the social security, they gave out loans to the state and the state decided what to do with it. It helped with soup kitchens. the PWA built bridges and houses.
The RFC gave loans to farmers and the AAA paid farmers to reduce the ammount of crops that they grew.
