Today in U.S. History we shared what we learned about from our blogs again. The things I learned from other people's blogs were that Thomas Jefferson was president from 1801 til 1809. He was the author of the Declaration of Independence. Louisiana Purchase was purchased from the French when he was in office. He was the one who sent Lewis and Clark to explore the Louisiana Purchase. Jefferson was also the founder of the University of Virginia.Andrew Jackson was known as a good president. He fought in the French and Indian war. He ran for the first time to be president in 1824.That's when he lost against Quincy Adams, because there was a corrupt bargain. In 1828, he won the election for president. Jackson was favored for his drive for equality. He was then reelected 1832.
