US Home Front

Women help in the military, just didn't fight. They transported goods to different bases. Basically, it was how the home land was affected by the war.


African Front

The war was fought on June 10th of 1940 until May 18th of 1943. It was fought in North Africa. Italy declared war on Great Britain. The North African war was really important for the allies, becauase it was the only land base battle they could take on the axis powers. Operation Torch was their military stratagie. It was the code name for the Allies invasion of North Aftrica. The three neval task forces were together call Western Naval Task Force. On the coast o French North Africa, which is now Mossoco. It involved 100,000 men and over 600 ships. A force of 18,000 men and 80 takns land at Fedala. Major battles was for land of Side Barrani, Operation Compass, Second battle of El Alamein, Compass Brevity and Operation Battleaxe which was won by axis powers. Operation Crusader was won by the British. The Tunisian Campaign was won by the allied forces. The Allies won because of their codes Ultra of North Africa. The axis didn't have any way to break the codes. Stalin wanted us to invade France first because that would force Germany into a two-sided war. The thee major generals are George Patten for US, Erwin Rommel "fox for being sneaky" was for Germany and Bernard Montgomery was for Great Britain.


Pacific Front

It started on December 7 in 1941.
