Today in class the last group presented their presentaion. They focused on why JFK was in Dallas and also talked about the the parade route and the autopsy of the body. The original parade route was changes only a couple of days before the parade. The original route was supposed to go straight done Main Street in the Dealy Plaza, but it was changed so JFK could see more people. Even if the route wouldn't have been changed he still might have gotten shot, but Oswald would have less time to shoot at JFK. The bullet that killed Kennedy was fist sized, which is very big considering the size of the bullet. Mr. Bruns also started his powerpoint on the assassination of JFK today, it is manly a storyline of pictures that were taken that day.Today I learned that Jackie Kennedy to this day does not remember trying to go back into the car and retrieving the piece of Kennedy's head that was blown off. I also learned that when Kennedy was rushed to the hospital he was called moribund. Moribund means that you are in a dying state and have a slim chance of living. Another thing I learned was that the Secret Service took Kennedy's body which made a huge controversy trying to cover up something. I learned that autopsy was done at Bethesda Naval Hospital, and was done by J.J. Humes and Thorton Boswell. The final thing that I learned was that the body should not have been taken out of Texas, that is why so many people thing that the Secret Service may have been trying to hide something.
