Today in class we continued to go over some of the things that we will have to do throughout the semester. Mr. Bruns started out by telling us that our website will be graded this week, but because it is only for five days it will only be 50 points. Next we talked about that we need to have 10 message board posts for every two weeks, but this time we only need five. Mr. Bruns said that the discussion forum is supposed to be used for asking questions or posting interesting current event stories. It is not to be used for things like what is your favorite color. The reply also has to be at least one sentence in lenght otherwise it will not count for one of your 10 posts.Next we talked about the ways to take a test in Mr. Bruns' classroom. We can either do an oral, written, podcast, or video as our tests. This semester has many more choices, but I will probably stick with doing the oral tests. He also talked about extra credit. The limit is 30 points per quarter. The ways to get extra credit are by achieving 50 message board posts and also doing some kind of video interviews. We will be getting into our groups on Friday.
