War in Afghanistan.

The war in afghanistan started on October 7,2001, responding to 9/11.The main objective for this war was to find Osama bin Laden and other Al-Qeada members. When they would find them, they would put them on trial. By doing this, it would hopefully end all of Al-Qeada. Taliban was giving safe harbor to Al-Qeada so the U.S. wanted to remove this also.Osama Bin Laden is yet to be found. For the past eight years there has only been one close capture of Osama. Which was during Tora Bora in 2001. I'm just really confused, if we keep sending troops beyond troops to Afghanistan why aren't we catching this guy. Obviously it's not doing any good but killing innocent civilians. We've caught his third in command officer, but his knowledge on Osama's whereabouts were old.The first part of the war was good because they ended Taliban quite quickly. This is really getting old. But the question here is should we just stop trying? He hasn't been found for 8 years so what's the use? No, that's not the attitude we should be going for, this guy is responsible for one of the worst instances in the United States. Killing 3000..one man in charge of killing 3000?I'm confused about this subject. I don't want more troops to go, but I do want him to be found and prosecuted to the fullest extent. Capturing the guy who killed 3000, not including hijackers..or keeping our troops out of this because it's going nowhere.

Obama is reluctant about moving forward fast on Afghanistan. His main plan is to take more troops out of Iraq, and add more to Afghan. Obama thinks that we have to lose Iraq to win Afghanistan. I don't know how well this is going to work. It seems that it's the otherway around. It really doesn't say much about his plan on this.
