So, Wow. You hear about this on the news but seeing like that is insane. If a country, even if its ours, has that much of a debt, how on Earth can we be considered a wealthy nation? Maybe for the moment things are fine but the way that the National Debt is increasing, I can't see how we're going to remain stable for much longer. I've heard that the government spends money as soon as they obtain it...But to spend money that you don't even have that at SOME point will need to be repaid sounds rediculous to me. Maybe I don't understand that sort of thing well enough but it seems like thousands and thousands of poor choices to me.

It is crazy we are in major debt. If we were a normal business we would be out of business. Will we ever see a balanced budget? I doubt it.
