The Battle of The Faulkland Islands was a battle Between the Royal British Navy and the Imperial German Navy. This was the first Naval battle of the Atlantic ocean. The first shot was fired on December 8, 1914. The first move was made by the Germans, which tried to raid " Stanley" which was a British Naval base. The British got alarmed fairly quick, and responded with a boom.The Battle between the Germans and British was a slaughter. The British could outrun, and outgun the Imperials, this would lead to a simple victory by the Roal Navy. Though the Germans were planning ambush, the Royal Navy had cought on quickly, and counterattacked the Germans, which was a blow to them. The Battle of Tannenburg was a battle between Russia and Imperial Germany. It started in the first day of ww1. It started August 23, 1914 and ended on August 30. Tannenburg is somewhere in what was called East Prussia, modern day Poland. The Russian Army sent more than 400,000 men. Germany only sent one army, only having 166,000.During the battle, Russia moved tword Tannenburg, and made an offensive. They then were being flanked, and retreated to stop surroundment. Then, on the 25th, Russian Commanders ordered men to go to Koingsburg, which Germans intercepted the transmission and surrounded the Russians. This led to almost 75,000 deaths for the Russians, while 92,000 were captured. This battle was the ground the First Battle of the Masurian Lakes would take place. Russians would not start war with Germany on German soil until ww2 after this battle.
