I got my assigned blog done at like 10:30 last night...But i was home all night, so i really feel like a procrastinator. Not that I ever denied not being one in the first place.

So today we're just talking about our assigned blogs.

before we did that, I was checking out the forum, trying to get some replies in. I see Drea's got her fun stories from her super-secret source again. Secrets don't make friends. I want to know where she gets this stuff.

Also before that, bruns changed the website background back to the American flag thing it was last year.

My background is different too, I've got blue, green, and grey stars instead of the purple roses, with bluegreen font instead of pink. And, my avatar (used to be kiwi) is now an adorable anime-stlye kitty, that surprisingly resembles my actual cat, only with red eyes instead of yellow-green.

We're taking our time to get to the blogs. People are having troubles with blogs, i guess.

So, here we go:

1) the Native Americans before Europeans came were pretty much nomadic, although some lived in permanant dwellings. Went tro war with each other sometimes, lived off the land, etc. Post-Europeans, many ended up dying, whether from dieases or fighting with Europeans, etc.

2) Europeans started exploring in the late 1400's- they wanted new, faster trading routes with Asia. Thought going by sea would be faster than going by land. *time is money*. Also wanted to expand their land, which would give them more resources, more money, more power. Wanted to expand religion too.

3) Major countries leading in exploratrion: Portugal, Spain, France, England (top 4). Netherlands probably #5. Portugal- Vasco da Gama. Spain- Christaphor Columbus, Ferdinand McGelland. France- Giovana something-or-other. England- John Cavot...etc. Spain settled down south and west, France settled up north and by Mississippi river and lakes, England settled just he east coast, but spread to pretty much everywhere. Portugal settled way down south, South Ameria. Brazil.

And apparently Christopher Columbus was a jerk.

We didnt get to number 4 or my topic, #5.
