-Today Bruns says that he has to talk a lot today. He is assigning like two new projects today. They wont be due for a while, but he just wants to assign them incase we want to work ahead.
-My blog for this week is the Peace Corps. We are supposed to read like chapter 20 or something like that. Idk. Bruns just told us what we were supposed to look up and blog about. What is it, what does it do, who started it, is it still around today, what effect has it had on the world. That is all that I am supposed to blog and talk about. I still have to do my highway interstate system blog too. I better get on that.
-Then Bruns went into the Cold War topics. My topic is NATO (beginning to present), de-Stalinization and peaceful co-existence. I just have to talk about what it did and what those key terms are.
This is pretty much the semester test of presentations. It’s by ourselves and it’s to show what we can do by ourselves and not with a group. It should be pretty easy, I think.
-Then he went into the decade’s project. My group is Amanda, Chelsea, and Whitney. It sounds like a pretty fun project. My group has the ‘80s. We have to make a movie, so like on windows moviemaker or something like that. We have to look up like the music, fashion, sports, movies, major events that will always be remembered. Not like wars or something, but like 9/11 or something like that. One thing we are graded on is ‘flow’. It should like go in order. There is extra credit opportunity if we interview someone. There is up to 20 extra credit points possible. It doesn’t have to be like a five minute interview, just like 15-20 seconds. It shouldn’t be like a presentation, it should be a video montage.
-It needs to be between ten to fifteen minutes. Pictures should not be blurry, they should be very clear. Interviews should be about 30 seconds and no more. We have to have appropriate music. We can mention the group, but we can’t play the music if it’s bad. The songs have to be 30 seconds or less. Then for pictures we have to link the source from which we got it from.
So, just on a side note, Bruns did a very good job of taking his time and talking slow so we didnt have to present today! Ha, thanks!!
