Today, the first thing we did was go over European countries. That's going to be a really hard test. Next we continued blog discussion on failed states. A failed state is basically where the government can't control or enforce anything. Things that cause failed states are things such as civil war, natural disasters, your location.Chad is one of the countries who is affected by location. Their government has already like failed, so the refugees coming from Sudan really aren't helping anything.Next we discussed the second article we read. It was about a boy named Muhammad who lives in Somalia. He is 18 and was born right after the dictator Muhammad was overthrown. Somalia has not had a government since 1991. His dad was hit by a mortar, so he is the worker in his family, and his occupation is being a fisherman. The TFG is transitional federal government. They are trying to help Somalia, but there is a group called al Shabbab's that is tempting to young men to gain some power in a country where you feel like you're struggling. Somaliland is the only peaceful place right now in Somalia. They would like to seceed and become their own country, and if the international community allow it, they will be.
